Re: Jail time

Re: Jail time

2008-03-25 by lsf5275@aol.com

I have been on this list since the beginning. I was on the previous list for
many years. I want to talk about a sore subject.

At some point in the past, someone on this list may have done some things
that others found offensive or were hurt by. This was several years ago. It has
been my observation that this individual has tried in every way to apologize
and make amends for events that occurred and deeds (supposedly) done. Yet
sadly, for some folks, there is no forgiveness. I guess when you are deified you
can force folks into purgatory forever.

Why? What good end is served by carrying this vitriol on in continuum? We
all know what forgiveness is, yet some of us are above it. Not me. I know about
it all and I think this is a load of childish bullshit! No one on this list
is above reproach and no one on this list is not a liar. We all make mistakes.

All I am asking is that those of us that harbor this ill will put it aside.
No one deserves to be flamed forever.

Hi Frank,
I think all this is before my time on the list as I'm
not quite sure to what you are referring but in
principle agree with all that you have said about
forgiveness.

Hi!

This is Clay's wife Dianna. I have been privy to some of the
correspondence recently sent and I'd like to share a perspective for
your consideration.

It does not matter who is right or wrong and there's no way anyone on
this list is going to help either of you mend the fence. That is your
business and your responsibility-off list. However, please recognize
that using this forum to continue your squabble is inappropriate and
embarrassing for both of you. And, you have put all other members on
the list at the mercy of either choosing sides or at the very least,
having to endure this noise. Everyone enjoys a good debate but not an
obvious war.

Choose to set aside your ego and feel free to state your opinions as
long as they are not personal attacks.

Respectfully yours,
Dianna

You are, of course, completely correct, Dianna, and I hereby tender my
apology to all concerned. This stuff should not be aired in public. It
has no place on the board.
