That sound you hear is Mike Dickson backing up his transport truck to get a good running start at that HUGE hole you just opened up for him...

The only two Oasis tracks that I know of with Mellotron parts (I didn't say _good_ parts) are
Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger - and the only reason I know that is that both of
them fall into that category of "songs I heard that for some unfathomable reason I'm drawn to
but can't place it because actually I don't like them much" - only to find several listenings
later that there's a Mellotron in there somewhere. Ah, so that's what it was... Same thing
happened with "I'm Like A Bird" by Nelly Furtado.

Wonderwall (cello). Why did the video have someone miming to the cello part,
how many cellos do you know that stall when you play 8 second notes? Listen
to the last note carefully...

Sod snobbery, I thought the string stuff in 'Let There Be Love' was perfect, like the sun coming out.. always moves me.

Instantly got under my skin and it's a favourite amongst the usual illustrious passages. There's a lot of that special 3 violins tingle in there too, you know the one.
That tingle that tips your rising emotion over the edge into bliss, tears, whatever. The whole middle section is a work of art. No messing.
Noel G has always used the right gear for the sounds that sort him out and is as passionate about Mellotrons as any of us.____

ahh, consider also the following:

'Noel Gallagher and the Great British Guitar Renaissance'-Discuss..

Guitar sales in Britain rose massively as Oasis became huge, suddenly EVERYBODY bought guitars.

Love and Scones,

MSW

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. Although it would be nice to find, I'm
not looking for historic 'tron parts, I will be happy to just find stuff
that I can stomach and get away with playing at live venues in Kansas, where
half of the audience wears cowboy hats and has a big wad of tobacco in their
lip. And the guys are even worse...
