Possibly, although I helped someone with an M400 that had been unused since  
1985. Only problem was that the tapes had become set permanently in the W 
shape.  A quick demag and a set of my tapes worked perfectly.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
