We have had so many discussions over the years about how so few songs have
meaningful lyrics. The guy who sings this song has written and performed a
lot of really great ones over the years. This is a special song. Enjoy.

I have never been able to make it through more than one or two Tom Waits
songs in a sitting. I don't own any of his stuff. I do like Danny Elfman and
I have always loved Oingo Boingo. The Farewell (live) album and DVD
showcases one of the best live shows I have ever seen or heard.

Then maybe you ought to try, as it sounds like you might have more time
for him than you think. I also notice that one of the two comments on
the video was made by '/maliciousRainDog/', a Tom Waits handle if ever
there was one.

I actually didn't mean to aim the remark at you anyway; I meant that the
songwriter was obviously listening to rather a lot of TW to write the
song. It actually /reeks /of him. (/The Reek of Tom Waits /is an album
title I have reserved for future use)

Perhaps. It's 2: 25 AM and I've just come up from my shop. I've been there
since 8 PM. All I do is listen to music or audio books. I'm usually in the
shop at least 2-4 hours a night. Tonight was a long one as I am finishing
up a Mellotron. (my camera sucks!). I have the time to listen to lots of
music.

Most people remember Danny Elfman - Oingo Boingo from their appearance in the film Back to School (Rodney Dangerfield). Elfman scored most of Tim Burton's films and The Simpsons theme. I'm looking forward to hearing his score for Alice in Wonderland coming out next week.

His "talent" is lost on me. I can't make it through 1 of his "songs", and you all know how much I like vocalists.
Elfman on the other hand is very talented and easy to listen to.
He sure get's a lot of film work!
