News comes today that fellow Mellotronist Oscar Peterson has left the stage
forever at the age of 82. Thanks for the inspiration and the great music,
Oscar.

Sad news indeed, Jon. He was one of the greats. It was a long and
hopefully happy life that should be celebrated.
A merry Christmas to all,

Admired his piano playing even though I don't like
that kind of jazz, didn't know that he ever played a
mellotron. Did he ever record with one?

Merry Christmas to everyone

Mark

PS Is already Christmas here and Santa didn't bring me
a mellotron alas.

I always remember the fact that he used to have 'modern' guests on his show.
Included Rick Wakeman (demoing all his keyboards including the Mellotron)
and Keith Emerson...
