Hi David, Thanks. I'm especially fond of the CS-80 poly- aftertouch for triggering pitch modulation. Since a lot of what I do is electronic throwing in a CS-80 pad or lead just makes it sound very organic all of sudden with notes modulating independently of each other(plus it's never perfectly in tune- a good thing). I've had people ask me many times " what is that instrument"? I hope to put up some synth stuff on the website real soon. I've got a remake of Burt Bacharach's "This Guy" up at moogspaceport@yahoogroups.com. No CS-80 on that one but lots of CS-60, Arp Quadra and Pro-soloist. It's my "Doctor Bombay" project. There is a DVD for the song where we use a lot of the vintage stuff that I need to convert to a quicktime movie and post. If anyone is interested maybe I'll post it to my .mac site in the next few weeks. And Scott: I'll get to your questions soon about wiring etc. Stephen Teller Stephen Teller Music 805/480-9614 s.teller@... www.stephentellermusic.com On Friday, May 14, 2004, at 02:47 PM, oldsynths@yahoogroups.com wrote: > From: <david@...> > Subject: Re:cs > > he stephen nice site! > yeah the cs range definately has a sound quite of its own. > horrible maintenance issues but well worth the trouble. > What still amazes me about the cs80 and 60 is the way the vibrato > works. > It is as if the vibrato on the cs range sounds far more musical then > on any > of my other synths while one would suspect that its just an lfo to > pitch > relation.
