Hi,

i had the same problem with my OB-8, i resolved the problem. If you 
have some solder skills you can do it.

First unmount the front panel and desolder the dirty pots ( i had to 
cut the 3 ends of the pot to unsolder very well) Then open the 
potentiometer and clean the carbon area with a tooth brush. Then use 
a little screwdriver and clean the metal contact (oposite of the 
carbon) that's were the problem it is, a lot of dirty stuff are 
there. the ensamble againt the pot. Test with a ohmmeter. Solder 
again the pot and test.

You can enter to TEST mode to "TEST" all the potenciometers. In order 
to enter to test mode, move the left TEST switch from the control 
panel and press ARPEGIO MODE (the RATE knob should be in down 
potition) you will hear a TONE, move one pot at time and you will 
hear a sweep sound. You can find the scratchy noisy pots using this 
function.
