Hi there, I am new to the group. I am looking for a EML PolyBox so if anyone wants to sell one, please email me at coolpad@... I saw that the schematics are in the Files Folder so I am also wondering if anyone has built one themselves, or if someone is producing any pcbs. I would like to build one myself but I am still trying to get up to speed with building stuff myself. Any help would be very much appreciated. Kind regards, Martyn

I couldn't find it in the files section! So, I've always been intrigued by these, but never knew how they work exactly. They turn a monophonic signal polyphonic? What's the science around them? I'd like to see the schematics if they're available. Thanks Mike --- In oldsynths@yahoogroups.com, "Martyn Meere" <coolpad@b...> wrote: > > Hi there, > > I am new to the group. Howdy y'all; The polivox is basically a very high frequency vco running at around 2 Mhz (more or less) tied via a PLL (phase loocked loop ) to a Top Octave Generator that divides down the high frequency vco signal into a 'top octave' -a full octave including semitones- using whole integer binary dividers inside... the keyboard as I recall allows you to select the 'polytonic ' notes 'phase looped' to say an external synthesizer's vco output.... hope you get the idea. Ah... Mostek used to manufacture these top ctave generator chips MK50246 or something like this and radio shack use to sell them... I do have a couple of these chips somewhere in my garage.. no telling when I could find them ...:( bye now... ... --- Mike Walters <mike@...> wrote: > > I couldn't find it in the files section!
