Help! EDP Wasp makes no sound...

Help! EDP Wasp makes no sound...

2005-01-02 by Martyn Meere

Hi everyone,

I recently got an EDP Wasp and I really love it but it suddenly has
stopped making any sound. If I listen really close I still here the
LFO going and I can here the speed changing when I turn the potmeter
but there is no sound coming from the speaker or from the line out.
If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it as I love the little
synth.

Kind regards,
Martyn

This was a common problem, even when they were first produced...in
fact, originally, whenever a Wasp stopped working, it was cheaper to
replace it than to have it fixed! Of course, that's not really a
viable option anymore, so you'll have to have it looked over by a
professional. If you feel up to it, you might open the synth up
yourself, and have a poke around in there. Sometimes, the problem is
self-evident (something is loose or unconnected), and in that case,
you can probably fix it yourself. But if you look inside and see
nothing immediately wrong, I'd take it to a repairman.
