Re: [PolySix] Common symptons of battery leakage damage?

2003-01-22 by st@rinass.de

I have exactly the same problem. Changing the two 74LS08, the 5514 RAM
(Replacement:2114) and the D/A-Converter below the RAM doesnt help. I
strongly believe that the 8048 Microcontroller is defect (maybe some
defect I/O-Lines). Ive taken another 8048 from another old defect board
but the Symptoms were the same. Ive also taken another Knob Board,
another Cables andandand but that didnt help too.

The Symptoms on my Polysix are:

All Knobs except Bend, Octave, Loudness, EG Intensity and the Effect
Section doesnt work. The Programmer is o.k., even Tape-Load and write
works (so seen, but programs wont be loaded). When the board is
switched into Test mode i hear a sound. In normal operation i also hear
some sounds but they are in manual mode not changeable. The internal
variable Resistors works, but also the MG-Led flushes first slow and
then faster until shes complete on. My board has also many broken
Traces where im not really sure if they all work correctly.

Has anyone the ROM-Code from the 8048 or better: A KLM-367 without
Chips?

Greetings

Stef
