Seems like there's a lot of 'work' ;>) involved in entering all the patch chart values in, and then trying to tweak them to get near the original, if possible. There are a few patches that come with the Legacy softsynth that seem relatively close to the original P6 sounds - like the Wurly and some of the string pads, and then there are some that aren't... It would be nice if there was a convertor that could be used as a starting point to generate values from MIDI'd P6's patch dumps, that then control MIDI CC-learned parameters on the Legacy. There may be issues with linear / non-linear pot tapers, and other 'calibration' mismatches...but it could be a fun project. Just wondering if anyone has attempted such a digital conversion. -Brian --- In PolySix@yahoogroups.com, "feline1973" <feline1@...> wrote: > > I got the Korg Legacy polysix VSTi recently, > and spent a while going through the original Korg patch charts for the polysix, and dialling them into the VSTi - they matched *fairly* well, but in particularly, the response of the LFO > VCO modulation was HUGELY more sensitive on the VSTi than on my real polysix, with ridiculous vibrato on the VSTi if I followed the patch charts to the letter. > This would lead me to suspect that the VSTi patch dump isn't identical to the Korg factory midi retrofit. >
