Alright, I'm really a bassist (so please, bear with me), but over the past few years I've gotten into analog synths. To consumate this lust, I purchased an old polysix a while back and didn't know what I was getting myself into... It was only AFTER I bought it that I found out about the battery leakage problem. I've opened it, and yeah, she leaked pretty bad. The memory was messed up before, but I'm not sure if some of these other problems can be totally caused by the battery- Manual switch won't work - Switches back to initial sound when I flip a select switch or two - Once an effect is on (chorus is the only one I can get), It won't change or turn off - 16' 8' 4' knob doesn't work (in fact, I think that whole section may be a little messed) - The only modulation I can get is vibrato, anything else just decreases the volume - Any movement of the attenuator silences the instrument... These, however, are just the things I can remember. Recently, after not using it for a few months, I fired it up and horrible noises came out of it when I pressed a key. The note is still in the background, but in the fore is, well... if a synth could fart, that's what it would sound like. Can anybody give me a clue as to if it's the battery alone doing this or what? Besides getting the battery/board replaced, what else can be done? Scott Frenchek
