User patch sheets

User patch sheets

2008-04-18 by Jan Řezníček

Hello all, I`m new to Polysix and not very familiar with analogs. I need some swet strings and church organ but my trials are not so good. I play in a heavy-gothic band so these sounds are very essential. Can you help me, please? Where can I find some interesting user patch sheets to learn? Or some other information about programing Polysix?
Thanks for your help.

Hey Jan,

If you have the original presets programmed in your P6 you could
start there. If not, check the 'files/dumps' section. Definitely some
great analog strings and some Hammond, etc. organs that you could
tweak to get some eerie Goth/pipe organ type sounds. Since you're new
to analog, read the manual as well. Wave form, frequency cut-off and
resonance are big factor's, as well as sub-osc, keyboard tracking,
EG's, etc, etc,,, If you like your patch and wish to save it, be sure
to do so before turning the synth off otherwise you'll lose it. (Done
that many times!) And be sure not to overwrite a patch that you like.
(Done that too!) Enjoy the P6-she's a great sounding old beast. Hope
this helps.

regards,

dizz

Hello, thanks for you answer. I trained a bit and my results are better.
I'm a big fan of funny toy Poly800 and in fact I'm a collector of
patch sheets. Does exist any collector of these sheets for Polysix?
