Midi kit?

Midi kit?

2009-10-27 by Marcel Querin

Hello, does anyone know if I can still buy the MIDI retrofit kit that Johannes Hausensteiner created somewhere?

Thanks,

Marcel Querin

It looks like all the links to his original site are no longer working.

I have one of his boards I purchased several years ago (photo of the
board can be found here:
--http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2007/02/korg-polysix-midi.html) it's
the populated board, ROMs, and two jumpers to connect to the Polysix CPU
board. There are several modifications required to the existing P6
circuitry, along with some connecting cables you'll have to either buy
or build.
I've never gotten around to trying to install this board, and I probably
never will; if you want to buy it, let me know.
I did manage to download all the installation & user info from his
site; still have it.

I had tried to contact him several times for a board as well. Pretty
sure he's moved on.

If Marcel doesn't take up this offer, I would be interested. I'm only
too happy to take to a synth with a soldering iron.

Cheers,

Oli

I can't speak to the Hausensteiner kit, but I have installed the kit
from the Czech company that sells one and it's great. Installed very
easily and works like a charm. Shipping to North America was no
problem either.

Thanks Erick, which Czech company (and board model) is that?

Marcel
(I bought my Polysix in 1982 with my student loan)

Thanks, which board are you referring to?
If this is the one from Johannes, yes I am interested.

Please contact me.

I wish that I had spent my student loans as wisely. :-)

Ok, this is another MIDI in only board.
Will consider. Thanks.

Hi Marcel, did you end up buying the interface from Klosmon? If not, I
would be only too keen to pick it up.

Cheers,

Oli

The transaction is taking place.
We are ironing out the details through email.
I'll let you know if anything changes.
