Midi Johannes kit

Midi Johannes kit

2010-12-14 by sullik1

Hi. I'm very interested in the Johannes kit.

I have a few questions:

I have not talked to Johannes, but is it still he who will sell the DIY kits?

If so, will the DIY kits only contain the PCB and the eprom? No other components whatsoever?

Is there a complete parts list somewhere?

Do you know the approx price for just the PCM and eprom.
And the approx price for the rest of the components.
And finally the price you will take for the complete finished/assembled kit that you are planning to do?

I would prefer the DIY if the parts are easy to get and solder myself.
But in the end the price differences will decide that.

Do you know how many new PCB's Johannes got manufactured this time?
If it was not that many, have you guys thought about the possibility to do another group buy like the KLM-367.
I'm pretty sure many would join that one if the prices went down a little bit.

cheers from Norway

Hi,

You really should contact Johannes about this to discuss the options.
What I can tell you is that he will only sell you a blank pcb and EPROM
I am going to be producing a limited run of kits in the new year based
on this design.
If you want an assembled kit then contact me directly and I will see
If I can help you.

Cheers,
Andy

Hi -- I corresponded with Johannes this past November and here is the information he gave me, including price. You would of course want to contact him directly for the most up-to-date info.

--------------------

Thank you for your interest.
Yes, I have (again) MIDI retrofits for the Korg Polysix available,
but only the DIY version. It consists of:
* printed circuit board of the MIDI module
* programmed EPROM chip with the latest firmware
* CDROM containing:
  - detailed technical information how to assemble the MIDI module
  - parts list
  - schematic diagrams
  - cable diagrams
  - installation instructions
  - user instructions
  - original Korg adjustment instructions
  - software: patch manager (win32), cmdline sysex tool
* Price is 150.- Euro / 210.- USD, shipping included

If you have any technical difficulties I will try to help to sort it
out, but this is somewhat limited via email...

I have the kits ready, so when I receive the payment I will ship on
the next working day.

Here are the payment details, I prefer direct transfer to my bank
account:
BIC: <...>
IBAN: <...>
Account name: <...>
Bank institute: <...>

I do accept PayPal, too.
