More on the time-critical tuning issue

More on the time-critical tuning issue

2011-03-11 by Bernie GREENBERG

Just noticed that all of the customer's presets sound bad, but a patch that I
created to "check things" with sounds very pure and completely without
distortion, don't know if this matters in the big picture of the tuning issue.

Installed the 50k trim pot in place of R93 and is seems to do little, however I
am able to get the first three octaves tuned to an "acceptable" degree. Still
can't get the top end right, and if I trim to get the top octave correc, the
rest of the tuning sounds awful. Tried replacing IC31 for giggles but that did
nothing.

His national tour starts in 1 week.

If everything else fails I could send you a working KLM366. Question is if
it would arrive on time and how much the shipping from Germany would cost.

Thanks for the reply , much appreciated. Just curious, what would you want for
the KLM 366 (is it a new version w/o KLM 396?)

Also, do you have a KLM368 available as well? Please advise at your
convenience, and thanks a lot for writing to me about this, much appreciated.

Best,
Bernie
