New tune I made with my Polysix

New tune I made with my Polysix

2011-03-16 by arpomni

Hey guys,

Keep up the good work keeping the Polysixes alive. I just painted my
dead keyboard contacts with that Keypad repair kit. Now I can play all
66 keys!

Here's the track I used it for the leads on:

Thanks for sharing! Which keypad repair kit did you use? I tried one that I
used on a JX-3P and a MIDI keyboard, but it stopped working over time, but
that might be that special repair kit, or the fact that it had been open for
2 - 3 days (should still work according to the manual).

Best regards,
Herman

Thanks Herman, I used the CW keypad Repair kit. A 2 part conductive
coating that worked very well. I could have fixed another 10 keyboards
with it, but once it is mixed, you have to use it up. From Digikey:

Thanks Herman, I ended up using the Circuit Works repair kit. It is a 2
part conductive glue that dries in 24 hours. It warned against mixing
only a partial batch, so there was loads of wastage (like 95% leftover),
but the keys are fixed, so it was worth it. [:)]

I ordered it from from Digikey.

Another option that works for me:
contact
www.sounddoctorin.com
for a set of adheasive conductive "dots" to stick on the rubber contacts. High-quality 3M glue that will stick forever.
