Polysix RAM expansion?

Polysix RAM expansion?

2003-09-10 by fargap

The Polysix uses SRAM to store program data (a little old 5514). Does
anyone know if this SRAM is used by the system for anything else? If
it isn't, then it would be pretty easy to devise some very simple
circuitry to expand the RAM capacity, and allow for the storage of
more programs. One could just use a larger RAM, and switch the upper
address lines...

Thanks,
fargap

The 5514 (1Kx4 SRAM) is used solely for patch data.

Thanks, Johannes. A simple matter indeed, then, to increase RAM
capacity.
