Your  balance knob should be at the 11 O'clock position, and you should use mono output.

Check the balance knob first, the Prophet 2000 plays 4 notes at a time alternating between the left and right sides.  You can download a manual at: www.ftg.co.uk/p2k  along with other prophet 2000 info.

  i just got a 2000 and really love it - but i am a bit confused (no manual)
  it seems that if i play 8 notes in a row (after sampling a new sound) that only the first 4 
  trigger and the rest do not. it is very consistent - 4 on - 4 off

  Am i doing something wrong?
