Sequential circuits samplers

Hello,
I, like many folks, just picked up a Prophet 2000 sampler and
have been toying it with little luck. I managed to sample a sound
the other day, not sure how, but then it only played on half
of the board. But I liked the sound, so I figured out how to
format a disk and save it, but not, though it seems to load fine,
if I switch to one of the presets, I can't seem to get my original
sound back.
I was wondering if someone could post some simple procs for using
the prophet 2000. I have used synth/samplers for many years, so
I have a general idea what everything is, but this machine still
managed to confuse me with it's 2 digit readout.
