Different keys for different sounds. Does not matter which key it is.I found
if I keep taping a key untill I get the "white Noise", I keep that key
depressed and it plays normally. So it has something to do with the voice
allacation as you say. I can press the "stack-on-off" switch and this sort
of masks it, but you can still hear it. Funny: the Internal sounds are
unaffected, those work fine.So its not the chip ( Whew!)Must be a parameter
setting.

How so I turn the dynamic allocation off?? (untill I get the manual.)

You know what would be great?

A TXT file or excell sheet with all the parameters spelled out. Could go on
our FILE section, and also any other 'newbie" type Questions. I do this for
Atari-MIDI in which I am moderator.

BTW: been digging up some of my Atari sound apps..and found quite a few that
support the P2000. It guess it grew up in the same era :-)
Genwave, Sample maker (which is a super FM synthisis package) Turbosynth and
Avalon. Gotta figure them out..but I can take my time.

Hey...a celebrity Keyboard!

Thanks for your very detailed answer...much appreciated.

Even though it is 12 bit, the sounds are still very crisp. I am also
surpried at the output of my mirage as well.
