It's been ten years since my last P2k. I just picked up my third unit a few days ago. No manual. But your site, and its files, along with my old memories; have awoken the beast. Yes they run hot. Like a pheonix! I just payed some cat here in Seattle 150.00 for a mint condition, 8- output expanded, O.S. 4.2 Prophet 2000. I thought it was such a steal, it came with a new spare floppie-drive, and some new wine country discs. Then in scanning the old posts on this site, I read one from the guy I bought it from, saying he had just picked it up for 75.00. This was four months ago. He doubled his investment. He had no understanding of it's sampling capacity. He was using it only to play back the discs. It was all too surreal. I had manuals with my first two units. I agree that the writer was excellent. Stanley......I was at first concerned about the heat in the back by the midi ports. Answered in the postings. The most amazing thing though, is manual SECTION 13. Hello. It's like the rosetta stone. I think mine might even be the coveted expanded beyond 512k-type of memory. How would I ever really find out? And how do I load more than one disc of samples into the machine, and have access to them all? These are puzzling questions, I put them out on the floor. Thank you all for being here to help. ESW
