I'm sure others on this list can explain it better, but the P2K is not a stereo device. You should use a mono hookup to your amp, and set the "balance" control to 11 o'clock. If I had my P2K book in front of me, I could explain it better, but I'm at work. You may need to upgrade the OS (ROM) in your P2K. The older ones may not play the samples correctly. If you want to make your own samples, you need a high impedance mike. Most are low impedance these days. Remember, the P2K is 1980's technology. But it's combination of analog and digital make it a wonderful machine today. -- Pat At 04:53 PM 3/25/2008, you wrote: >I just bought what I thought was the perfect lofi sampler the Prophet 2000. >I don´t know if I haven´t worked with it but my >first experince is...what a shitty sampler. >Can somebody tell me if I have a unit that >doesen´t work properly or if it supposed to be like >this. >I bought some sample discs from wine country but they sounded terrible. >Compared to my other old school sampler the X-7000 the prophet is not so good. >Does the output bounce from the left to the >right always(I put the dynamic allocation to off)or >is it something wrong. >Have somebody made some good sounds for this strange sampler??? > > >Peace
