Hi all I have been trying to back up my Prophet 2000 disks on my Windows PC for some time without any success - even when using OmniFlop. So I spent some time in figuring out the disk layout, with a lot of help from Simon Owen who is the creator of the fdrawcmd floppy driver for Windows XP/Vista. These efforts resulted in three small free programs, called Prophet2000Tools. They can be downloaded here: http://users.skynet.be/emxp/P2K.htm The programs are very basic and must be launched from a DOS window box in Windows XP or Vista... They only work with internal floppy drives, so not with USB drives. Note that both single sided and double sided P2K disks are supported (i.e. original 256K versions and upgraded 512K/1MB versions) Because I also have the intention to support Prophet 2000 in EMXP in the future, I have been discussing these disk layouts with Jason, who is the brain behind OmniFlop. OmniFlop is currently the only floppy driver supported by EMXP. Based on our discussions, he is currently finalizing a new version of OmniFlop which should also support P2K disks properly. This version should be available very soon on his website, and the disk images created by Prophet2000Tools and OmniFlop should be interchangeable. One last note: due to the *very* (and I really mean *very*) specific characteristics of the P2K disk layout, some PC floppy controllers may have problems to execute the instructions sent by OmniFlop or Prophet2000Tools. ///E-Synthesist
