What happened to these sweet machines?, what abuse could possible case the evident harm? Why\u2026..
Anyone in UK (or near by the euro tunnel) should pick them up and restore them now, otherwise I\u2019ll have to report it to the authorities.
Cheers!

ok guys,
there's pics at
www.crashforce.co.uk/sequential/p2000
www.crashforce.co.uk/sequential/s440
as you can see.. a little battered but...
the p2000 seems to work perfectly ok.. even the floppy drive. though, my
discs are old now and most faltered but loaded in the end.
the s440, on the other hand, powers up ok and seems to work. some of the
buttons you have to put some pressure on to connect and the pads need
replacing. the floppy worked at first but then seemed to stop for some
reason giving a "UNSUCCESSFUL TRACK SEEK" error.
you will of course notice the huge dial where the slider should be...
that's because i got fed up after the the third replacement slider broke
so i decided to replace it with a multi-turn pot. it's much better, i
reckon!
as for the paper stuck on.. that happened before i got it. the guy who
had it before me decided to stick it on with (for some unknown reason)
epoxy! so there wasn't much i could ever do to remedy that.
there are no factory disks for either machines (i made my own sounds)
i cant find the survival kit at the moment.. i think it's in one of the
house-move boxes somewhere upstairs. it contains some knobs, pots, voice
chips (one less as it went in the p2000 a few years ago), and some other
custom chips i think. i'll notify here when i've found it
so there you have it.
i'd quite like to clear these as soon as possible... preferably by the
following weekend. so...
p2000 = £200 - 300 ish ?
s440 = offers ?
cheers,
chris
