I have a problem with my prophet 2002,

How to copy and edit a preset without modifying the original?

When i make a copy of a preset (ex : preset 1 to preset 2) and when i 
edit this copy (cutoff, reso, env ...)it also modify the parameters 
of the original preset.

your post is confusing for me. Granted i am a new p2k user, but i am also one lucky 
enough to have a pristine Owner's Manual :-)
 The owners manual says (Chapter4-Page5):
"Presets can only be saved to disk. They cannot be 'recorded' or copied to different preset 
numbers. They can only be made 'from scratch' by editing an existing presets <sic>." I am 
afraid that you may not have actually copied your preset. Can anyone with more 
experience comment on this?
