Sequential circuits samplers

Hi all-

Anyone with more experience with a prophet than I do care to share any
quick and useful way to build presets. The manual for this thing is
poorly written...and the sample mapping structure couldn't me more
unintuitive.

I've started sampleing some basic analogue waveforms hoping to put
together some quick banks of patches. After finally getting the
mapping to work, I began to try some of the analogue processing
parameters. I've noticed that after copying a preset to another
location, then modifying some parameters on one, the changes show up
in the original patch as well. They share the same maps...do the
analogue parameters reside before the map stage?  Would I have to take
the same 3-4 samples, create separate maps for each preset that would
have different filter setting for example? I'm hoping that's not the
case....any quicker ways to build up new presets?
