Memory Cartridge no longer working after OLED installation

I just finished installing a new linear data slider, joystick and blue OLED into my VS Rack. Once I reassembled the front panel the cartridge button no longer turns on and the cartridge is not accessible. I replaced the joystick before the other two and the cartridge was fine. As reported by others, with the new OLED installed, the diagnostic mode (Power+0+2) is missing some of the tests though I was able to run the left/right LED test and the cartridge light did turn on. Would this OLED be causing problems with the cartridge RAM. One of the tests now missing post OLED installation is the RAM test. Does the cartridge light turn on regardless of the presence of a cartridge? Does the cartridge function not turn on if the cartridge is bad? Had no issues with this until the OLED was installed but maybe it's coincidence. Any experience or insight would be greatly appreciated.
