"Polymod" refers to the flexible modulation section of the Pro-One (& the Prophet 5, where it came from and was, I beleive, labeled as such on the front panel.) The Pro & Prophet basically have little modulation busses where you can mix several sources and send 'em where you want (filter, oscillator).
