Vintage Synth Repair

Hi, I am a new member having joined in the last week. As a new member, I started
from Message #1 and found it ironic that the group was started by someone who
had the same goal that I have: to get a synthesizer fixed, even though he is (we
are) not electronic instrument repairmen.

I have a 1979 black faced Arp Odyssey. I put it away in it's Anvil case in about
1986 (when I started getting so many other great MIDI instruments) and didn't
pull it out again until last year. Of course it doesn't work. Makes no sound. I
was getting ready to take it to a shop, but if someone thinks they can help me
here, fantastic.

Where do we start? And thanks for your efforts in advance!
