Vintage Synth Repair

Someone's bringing me a Roland E-5 Intelligent Synthesizer for 
emergency repair. Seems some of the lower octave keys aren't working. 
Is there anything quirky I should be aware of before I open it? I 
think it's velo-sensitive, so I'm guessing maybe one of the key 
contacts on the given keys aren't making contact.
