I'll give it another shot, but I'm pretty sure I tried this yesterday, and got a flat-line on my oscilloscope (it had performed just fine with the normal arrangement). I'll let you know what happens. Anyway, in case anybody's curious, I'm basically trying to create a new oscillator for my Arp Omni because the original oscillator circuit seems to be fried and I'd rather build something out of easily procured parts than move heaven and earth to replace the originals. So far I've had luck producing a square wave when only the power supply of the Arp is hooked to my oscillator, but the moment I try to feed the output of the oscillator into the divider circuits, it shorts out or something and stops producing a wave. I can only assume this is because it's expecting a 0 to -15 V wave (per the service manual) and is instead getting its positively charged counterpart...
