Vintage Synth Repair

Okay, here's an odd one for you... after a year of off and on labor, I
finally got the master oscillator on my Arp Omni working, but now there
are other problems that weren't previously present...!

One of the odder problems is the strings.  They will not sustain for the
entire time you hold the keys down.  In fact, how long they hold seems
to be directly linked to the "attack" slider.  If attack is at its
lowest, it's just one quick, percussive attack that's over immediately.
If you push the slider up a bit, it rolls in (like in normally would),
sustains for a little while and cuts off.

Any clues?
