My hero!  That's exactly the sort of site and help I was hoping to find - 
and I'm very relieved to see that it's quite an affordable repair.

I've ordered an orange one (I'm used to reading orange LCDs from my JD800), 
and I would definitely appreciate the photos you took and any other info you 
think I should have.
