RE: [vintagesynthrepair] Re: Arp Odyssey Power 110/220V?

2005-10-29 by Steve Alcorn

These transformers convert the output voltage, but not the line frequency. For older devices such as analog synths this isn\u2019t a problem. But keep in mind that they run warmer on 60Hz power than 50Hz power, because of the increased duty cycle (even though it seems like the same amount of power is being delivered). So you might want to go with the 200watt model.

Subject: [vintagesynthrepair] Re: Arp Odyssey Power 110/220V?

Makes sense...i see the Odyssey has power consumption of only 20
watts, so a 45 watt transformer would be great. My JP8 has 90 Watt
consumption...so I'm wondering if a 100 watt transformer is
sufficient or if I should go with a 200W for extra headroom.
