Vintage Synth Repair

Yes this is in addition to the additional xlr outputs, everything 
else is standard, this additional xlr is only connected to the midi 
out and programmer out din sockets which led me to believe it must 
be a midi in possibly? except i have no knowledge of this mod. I 
know someone out there will know exactly what this is.
