OK, time for me to try to get some of these old guys working
again... Below is a list of what I've got thats broken. If anyone has
any experience or repair tips they can offer for any of these I
would greatly appreciate it.
Arp Omni - No audio from synth section
Arp Odyssey mk3 - VCO2 out
Roland Promars - VCO2 out, odd front panel behavior
Prophet-5 Rev. 1 - Gee, a NW Rev. 1?? :-) Various LEDs flicker
and fade out on power up, no audio or controls working. Tested
voltages at power supply and voltages were off quite a bit and 0V
on -5 and -15 so replaced w/new regulators and tantalum caps
and -5 now OK but -15V outputting -20V, WTF? Also unreg
measures about 28V instead of 22V.
Rhodes Chroma - All EPROMs were corroded - replaced w/new
ones but still powers up in weird state, no audio or controls
working
Roland SH-101 - Sequencer/LFO does not function
Roland SH-101 - Won't power up from batts or AC
Chroma Polaris - 1 voice out
Oberheim SEM - no power
Oberheim SEM - VCO2 constant high freq sound
Sequential MultiTrak - Sound is totally muffled as if VCF is stuck
w/low cutoff freq
Moog Prodigy - no power
Moog Opus-3 - Always has slow attack regardless of EG setting
Whew! Got my work cut out for me for sure. I am most interested
in getting the Chroma and P-5 working first. Thanks for any help
or suggestions!
