Yep, - this is what I know. >So if a battery was rated at 10 >mAh you could draw 10 mA for an hour before the terminal voltage dropped >below a usable level. The same battery will supply 1 mA for 10 hours or 0.5 >mAmps for 20 hours. Does that help? thx, - this is helpful info. What I didnt know is/was, - if I can "draw" an xy-mA for an hour, what does the spec mean regarding the "loading" of the rechargable battery ? In other words : The Syco has a circuit which re-loads the battery during AC powered common use. Possibly the 100mAh spec could be related to the recovering time of the battery also, resulting in, I eventually should have the machine connected to the mains for a longer period of time after replacing the rechargable battery and before I start to work w/ it and switching it "off" after a short(er) time, - losing all of the reprogrammed data again and being surprised then. If I understand right, it is,...( if I dont find the exact replacement for the old Varta mempac 100 ) ... I could use a 80mAh type as a replacement if the 3.6V spec matches, resulting in a shorter "draw" time (compared to 100mAh) from the battery only, - if its been switched "off" and in stock p.ex., - isnt it ? I could also use a 150mAh / 3.6V type as a replacement, resulting in much longer "draw" time, - which seems to be an advantage. The replacement cannot be overloaded by the circuit if it matches 3.6V regardless which spec the mAh is. The only and minor prob might be the tags of the replacement cause these eventually wont fit the circuitboards points exactly. I hope thats right and then I would be fine. thx for reply again... >John. PeWe
