RE: [vintagesynthrepair] My organ has keys that don't work

2008-08-08 by Keith Niver

Hi Rick

First question is what keys don't work? Is it the same keys on both manuals
and pedals? Or is it random keys on a single manual? It's not difficult to
get into that model. There are 3 screws that hold the top on from under the
rear rail. Then there are 2 5/16th studs on each side that hold down the
upper manual and some screws under the keybed that hold down the lower
manual. Morelocks Organ Service in Rienzi, MS has service manuals and parts.
The circuitry is fairly basic. If you run into problems, you can find a tech
close to you on www.mitatechs.com <http://www.mitatechs.com/> . Search by
state or zip to find a tech close to you. Morelock's information is on the
same site under suppliers.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [vintagesynthrepair] My organ has keys that don't work

I recently bought a Wurlitzer organ model 4075. It's from the 1970's I
think. Anyway, it is in pretty good condition except some of the keys don't
work. Can anyone help me by telling me how I might be able to fix it? Is
it very difficult to clean the contacts? How can I access the upper manual?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Rick
