Hi, get hold of the synth first, or attach the required schematic part if possible, it will help things. When the power transformer fails, there often is a problem somewhere else. If it outputs +15v and -15v, the transformer could be a 18V-0V-18V, as diodes will rise the voltage up to 1.414*AC voltage. There are many different types of transformers, different sizes for each of them, and different ways to connect them.
