Vintage Synth Repair

I got my desoldering tool this week, a Den-On SC7000Z gun-grip 
desoldering iron with built-in vacuum pump:

  This thing is _wonderful_.  I can remove a 16-pin DIP from a dual layer, 
plated mounting location in about 20 seconds.  No pin clipping, no solder 
wick.  It will improve my board rework rate tenfold.  It is worth the 
advertised price.
