Anyone know how to do this safely? If the ground wire is going to the metal case, can it be connected to the third prong instead? Would this cause a ground loop or some other problem? I ask because my JX-8P needs a new plug installed. I was thinking of "upgrading" it to modern standards. Good idea or bad?
