Re: MicroMoog power supply

Hi Aron,
I just had a look in my regulator draw looking for MC1468 and found some MC1438R, but I thaught I would check first....glad I did ! they are op-amp power boosters !, moved them to the correct draw :o).
I have the Motorola regulator handbook with the MC1468 in...which package is it in, a round one or a diamond shape chunky one, or even a dual in line? . It doesn't really matter as the current output is 100mA for all packages, but if with 7V across ( a guess for your other post) at full load that is about 0.7W. If you have the space put in the TO220 version of the regulators you mentioned.
Please note that the tab on the LM7915 is NOT ground, I have been bitten by that one so I thaught I would pass it on.
I you have the manual or can trace the circuit, it might be worth checking that there is no facny current limit employed, the MC1468 supports quite a lot of features. Google will find you the datasheet if you don't allready have it.
I hope this has been of help, no insults on knowledge intended.
Best of luck, I would like to see pictures of the outcome.
BTW I built a synth a few years ago have a Google for ETI4600.
Cheers
Paul
