Perhaps they treat the trade different to the end user? The connecting plug and socket is a DIN type generally 8 pin.

Subject: Re: [vintagesynthrepair] pedal unit for old Yamaha?
My experience with Yamaha is different. They don't stock spare parts for instruments older than 10 years. Few years before they had different policy.
But here shouldn't be any problem with a pedal. As controller pedal you can try FC7.
Concerning that special pedal unit: from Owner's Manual it seems to contain three switches, but I have no idea how it's connected, as Footswitch female jack on the instrument looks like standard jack. But for three switches we need four contacts...
You can try to find somewhere Service Manual and check how pedal is connected, or open the instrument and check the connection inside.

Hi ?
I would try Yamaha as their stock of old parts is very extensive and I\u2019ve yet to find that they cannot help. The price is likely to be in the order of £70 sterling plus.
