Yes - these synths have the Fatar keyboard and they are notorious for this problem. You have to open the synth and either clean or replace the little key contact pads. Google Fatar keyboard repair and you will see detailed instructions for getting to the contacts. You can go to the Kurzweil site and download manuals that should help you get the K2600 open. I found replacement contacts at midi-store.com. There is also a Yahoo group on the K2600 with some information and manuals for download. I have one that has a few keys that do not trigger on/off. The synth will produce those sound internally (via Midi) and the keyboard is sending out MIDI aftertouch on those keys, but not on/off at any velocity. This started with one key, then that key came back to life. Then it went out a week later, now 2-3 more keys. I have a suspicion it's dirt/dust/grit, but before I rip the thing apart, I want to talk to someone who has pulled the hood off. I took apart a couple old analog synths, but want to get some advice before opening this beast. Any and all comments appreciated.
