Vintage Synth Repair

A few weeks ago I had asked if anyone knew what battery the XP 80 took.
I was able to find that the battery is a MAXELL CR2032.  Does anyone know how to replace it?


I don't know if I need to have the power on in order to save the OS / settings or if it's okay to have the synth disconnected and the memory, settings, etc. remain in tact.  I don't have any discs so if I replace the battery and the unit looses everything in the process, I'm not sure how to bring it back to life.  The owners manual dosn't say anothing about replaceing the battery except get it to a Roland service center, which there is none within a 200 mile radius from where I live.
