Moog Rogue acting up!

Moog Rogue acting up!

2004-01-21 by Mubo

the problem im having is ....

when i turn the unit on..and play the lower "c" it plays
fine ....UNTIL i play another note ....then it no longer plays a "c"
it plays what ever note was last played... for instance...if i press
high "a" then low "c" i hear the high "a" agin (instead of the low
c)....it does this no matter WHAT key i play....low "c" will always
repeat whatever note was played before it.

any suggestions on how to fix this????

It sounds like a contact problem for the low C key - The control voltage
does not work but there is a trigger so the previous note will be
retriggered when you press the lo C.

I don't have the schematics so I don't know if it uses a dual contact
keyboard or another arrangement (e.g HF signal on the keyboard bus). I
suggest that you dismantle the keyboard from the synth and check/clean the
contacts.

This might sound kind of goofy but... There is a bundle of wires
coming from the keyboard assembly that hangs loose near the low C key
and the pitch/mod weels. It's possible that it got jammed in the
contacts and is preventing the low C key from releasing. Either that
or its a simple mechanical problem. Either way, open it up and look
around for anything out of place in that area. It doesn't sound like
an electrical problem. Good luck.
