Poly 6 - Spare Board?

Poly 6 - Spare Board?

2004-04-01 by Mike Walters

Does anyone have any parts for a Korg Poly-6? Specifically the 367A
card? I believe that's the board where the battery goes. Someone
asked me if I could find one.
Thanks!

Hi, Mike!

You might want to try:
"The Old Crow" <oldcrow@...>
He often repairs Polysixes, and may - may - have a 'spare' KLM-367.
Also, he's working on a couple of versions to replace the original Korg
board, one with a 3V Lithium battery holder... and one featuring a
"Thoroughly Mod-er-in" CPU, which may offer some extras, such as a
simple MIDI interface, and.... Danh, da, da, DAAHHH! a *SECOND VCO*
board!!

If Crow's out of 'em, try Analog Heaven, at: analogue@... .
There are requests for KLM-367s on there from time to time. Oh, and if
you email the Old Crow, it may take a while to receive a reply - that
guy is BUSY!! He must have about a hundred irons in the fire at any
given time. 8-0

   Your Polysix Compadre,
   Dave Garfield

I am in the process of building 100 new KLM-367s. I found a local
assembly house that quoted a reasonable cost-per such that I can still
keep the original $150 price. I have all the parts and all the bare
boards needed; I just don't have the time to build them all myself (it
takes 5 hours per board to assemble, test, calibrate and load with factory
presets).

For those who don't already know:

The board I am currently offering is the direct clone of the KLM-367A.
My version using new microcontrollers and flash memory instead of
battery-backed static memory is not ready yet and won't be for some time.
