Running a Lowrey into a guitar amp?

Running a Lowrey into a guitar amp?

2004-07-23 by quixotic psych

Hi,

I have an old Lowrey TLO that I want to run into a guitar amp, mainly
so I can add some effect boxes like fuzz and wah-wah. The only
output jack on this organ is for headphones. Am I asking for trouble
plugging a guitar cable into this jack and sending it through my
effects boxes?

Thanks!

My only thought is that the headphone output would probably be too
"hot" for a guitar amp. You might want to check the net for a
schematic that can attenuate the signal for a line-level output.

buy a 1/8 to 1/4 inch adapter and a cheap direct box from your local music instrument retailer.that will assure your signal is line level.
