NE532 question

NE532 question

2001-08-03 by metamaticdiy@yahoo.com

Hello everyone,

I'm restoring my Octave Cat SRM, and it looks like IC2, a NE532 dual op amp, has gone pins up. I can't find the NE532 for sale anywhere. Can anyone suggest a source, or barring that, a suitable replacement? Could I just drop a 4558 or TL082 into the socket?

 Thanks in advance,
 Rich

Oops, nevermind. Turns out the schematic i was working from has the IC numbers mislabeled. My apologies for the bandwidth.

The NE part is a low noise I'c. You are missing a digit, it should be
NE5532.

No sorry. That ISN'T a 5532, it IS a 532. No digit missing.
